2009 At the
Family Self Catering Holiday Cottage/Gite
A week is not
enough! The gite is so comfortable and well equipped -
inside and out. We had a great time being lazy & winding
down - swimming, cycling & a local walk, Josselin was the best -
especially on market day (Saturday). Great views from the
top of the tower opposite the Marie - & be prepared for 'air
raid siren' at midday!! The roads for miles around Les
Blancs are so quiet - we cycled for 1.5 hours & saw 3-4 cars.
Vannes was good for shopping.
Loved the pool,
the trampoline, table tennis, sunloungers, table football etc -
everything. And of course the amazing collection of
'pets'. All very conducive for a stress free holiday -
will have to make it 2 weeks next time though. Many thanks
Robert & Veronica from Karen & Steve, Rachel & Sian,
Aug/Sept 2009

What a great place for a really relaxing holiday. We probably
hold the record for the least trips made away from the cottage
and the most time spent by one individual (Bradley) in the pool!
The cottage is well equipped, even if we did break the Sky box
(sorry again!) and Robert and Veronica very hospitable and
accommodating for our particular needs. The children loved
the pool and trampoline and Andrew particularly loved feeding
the pigs, ducks and chickens.
Once again thanks for letting us share your little bit of
tranquillity – watch out we may be back!
Nick, Sue,
Bradley and Andrew, August 2009.

I loved my
bedroom, Nia. Thanks so much for allowing us to
stay here. I absolutely adored the pool. On our last
day, it was very warm. THANK YOU!!! William.
The gite has all the ingredients for a perfect holiday. We
loved the pool, the trampoline and appreciated the fantastic
facilities of the cottage! We can recommend a bike ride to
Reguiny, where there are two play areas around the lake. It is
about a 6 mile round trip. Further afield, the Village de
Poul Fetan near Melrand, Pontivy is great - a reconstructed
archaeological site. Lynne, Michael, William, Hannah
and Nia.
We had a
wonderful week and especially enjoyed the bikes and riding along
the quiet lanes. We loved exploring the local towns and
villages and visited Josselin and Pontivy. We loved the
cottage and grounds - we ate outside and one night sat and
watched the shooting stars. Thank you for a lovely week.
Ruth, Susie, Peter and Paula - August 2009.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The trouble is
that a week is not long enough. After the long journey it
was so nice to chill out & enjoy the facilities. We have
never had so much exercise in our lives. The evening meal
we had at Jo & Carmen was most enjoyable (Note: Free tennis
courts at Hotel) which the children were thrilled with.
Crazy Golf at the Bar Du Foyer was great fun & which lasted
about 2 hours.
Many thanks to Veronica & Robert for organising Shaun's 40th
birthday cake and their hospitality. Also for the
delicious eggs. All in all a wonderful week. The
Tunnicliff family xxx - August 2009

The Turners - We've had a wonderful week at Les Blancs.
Everything you need is here and the friendliness and helpfulness
of Robert & Veronica added to the enjoyment of the holiday.
Like visitors before us we recommend Josselin, Trinite sur Mer,
Carnac Locmariaquer, Auray - some wonderful beaches, many good
restaurants but we enjoyed 'Chez Bido' the local creperie.
There is plenty to do and places to visit - but the jewel in the
crown is Les Blancs. The pool, trampoline, table tennis
table, badminton, football & boule in the barn. Thoroughly enjoyed
by 3 generations but Jack (age 7) loved the chickens & feeding
them was the highlight of his holiday. Look forward to
returning! Dawn, John, Simon, Tracey & Jack - July
2009.

Thanks John, a great drawing, but this doesn't do justice to
your original!

Robert & Veronica - We thank you for your hospitality & warm
welcome. The gite was fantastic and we both fully enjoyed
our stay. It was exactly what we both needed. The
location was perfect for us and we enjoyed playing tennis
locally. The local creperie was also a highlight for us
'Chez Bido' and would recommend to anyone.
We also travelled to Fort Bloque and Guidel Plage - 30 minutes
by car, enjoyed surfing (5ft waves) and would recommend to like
minded people. We hope to see you both again in the
future. All the best - Paul & Darren, July 2009.

Had a great couple of weeks. Weather has been fantastic
just about every day. Fresh eggs & wine from Robert &
Veronica greatly appreciated. Facilities have been
excellent a real home from home plus the addition of a pool and
a great safe area for the kids to run around. Beth loved chasing
the Indian Runner Ducks - never caught them - never had a
chance! Pool was a fantastic hit with all. Dan was
in virtually every day.
Went to various places, recommend Josselin, and for beaches we
went to Carnac - very good as was the market, Larmor Plage -
nice town but the beach not fantastic, Quiberon very good and
the best - Locmariaquer, great for the kids, quieter than the
rest - take a picnic it's a bit far out of town. Elsewhere
Pontivy is quite nice, again a good market and nice by the
canal. Vannes very busy, very hot. Maket not as good
as Carnac's though.
All in all a great couple of weeks. Hope to be back next
week/sorry next year. Steve, Jill, Danny & Beth.

Wir danken fur einen sehr angenehmen aufenthalt bei Potters in
Les Blancs. Ein uriges bauernhaus – und so komfortabel
ausgestattet. Besonders hervorzuheben: Pool, Fahrrader (leider
wenig genutzt – Faulheit), Tischtennis, Badminton, Kicker,
Billard, Trampolin. Die wirklich gut ausgestattete kuche und
Internetanschluss.
Zeitdruck! Dankeschon, Thank you, Merci – sagen Frank, Jana,
Laura und Ferenc aus Thuringen. Mai 2009

First visitors of the year - and the sun shone every day!
It's a beautiful time to visit Brittany - and to see the newborn
lambs gambolling in the field above the barn - perfect!
We've appreciated the time to rest and relax, get out & ramble
and eat some wonderful meals. There are some lovely
beaches, quiet coves, and a day out to the Iles aux Moines makes
a grand day out.
All in all we've enjoyed our days out, and looked forward to the
comfort of the gite as we've returned each evening. A
bientot - Ian and Rosemary - March 2009

2008 At the
Family Self Catering Holiday Cottage/Gite
We have had a wonderful holiday here at 'Les Blancs'. The
gite is perfect, plenty of room and very well equipped.
Thank you Robert & Veronica for making us welcome and for
providing such a lovely home to stay in. The swimming pool
has been lovely and warm and used several times. The
weather has been fantastic - warm & sunny nearly all the time.
We loved the animals, especially the baby chicks and feeding the
pigs & sheep with fallen apples. We all played lots of
table-tennis. There's lots of things to do at the farm,
bike rides with nothing on the roads, swimming, trampoline -
what more could you want.
Reguiny supermarket well stocked and open Sunday am. We
found it a bit frustrating that most cafes/restaurants close at
2pm and don't open again until 7pm. We always got
somewhere just as it was stopping serving food. Mondays -
all the restaurants are closed. Can highly recommend
Campanella Pizzaria in Reguiny - very good pizzas. We
liked Pontivy and the Lac de Guerledan - lots of places to stop
and walk, the whole area is beautiful. The go-karting at
Auray is excellent, great fun!
All in all sad to be going home, but we hope to come again - it
has been so restful. The night skies on a clear night are
amazing - you can see the Milky Way for miles - isn't God
awesome, His creation is fantastic. Many thanks Robert &
Veronica for all your kindness, and helpfulness. A bientot,
see you soon - John, Lesley, Vicki and Andrew. September
2008.
****************
Robert & Veronica - Thanks for a lovely holiday in your gite -
we've had a lovely time (Jas loved the chicken feeding, pig
feeding, duck feeding, Josh loved the chickens in general!)
You get to keep the picture of the gite (lucky you) cos we
couldn't get it home without it falling apart. Thanks
again, lots of love - Mike, Ruth, Jas, Josh xx September
2008.

Farmhouse is very comfortable and well equipped. The bikes
and swimming pool were great, we made good use of them. We
would not recommend cycling out at night without lights - it is
very dark!
Camors tree adventure place was very good but leaves you aching
afterwards. There is a distinct lack of nightlife, we
found a bar open in Josselin until 10.00pm, see if you can find
one later, it is not easy. The beach between La Trinite
sur mer and Carnac was good & very popular with the British with
easy parking. The house is very suitable for babies -
The Corby family et al xxx September 2008.

Enjoyed our stay
in this house. Weather was OK, last day was lovely!
Would recommend a trip to Auray and have a meal near the old
harbour, lovely spot. We visited Brest to look around the
much talked about aquarium 'Oceanoplis' but was disappointed
(overpriced, overcrowded and understocked). For a quick
meal the local pizza restaurant at Reguiny does take away made
to order pizzas, which are good.
Our twin boys
loved the pool and trampoline. Enjoyed the use of the BBQ
even on the colder days. Thanks - Matthew & Susan, Ian
& Lucy, Daniel & Hannah, Thomas, William, Georgina - August 2008.
****************
Had a great week,
weather has been mixed, would recommend a visit to Lac au Duc,
where there's a lake with a beach (Loads to do). Robert
and Veronica were great hosts. Enjoyed stopping in this
nice house. 'Good health' from all of us. Neal &
Julie, Paul & Jackie, Thomas, Jack, Alex & Anna - August 2008

Dear Robert and
Veronica, I had a lovely time in France. You made me much
happier now I've come to France. It has been a great
pleasure to meet you and get on with you. Love from
Tilly.
Brilliant week,
love the animals, love the gite, love the company, love the
food, love the area, love France. Lynn & Ray xx
Our return!
Just a week this time .... and not long enough!! Great
week and thanks to Bob & Veronica for making it so special,
fantastic house with excellent facilities. Recommend Auray
as an early evening visit - head for Le Port, gorgeous wee
harbour with plenty of sea front restaurants. Enjoyed our
daily dose of eggs from the hens - they taste delicious.
Robert's salad veg is to die for and Tilly enjoyed feeding the
animals. Made full use of garden activities ... going home
for a rest now!! Thanks again Bob & Veronica and may we
return, again, next year!! Love Manda & Alex - August
2008.

A well furnished
farmhouse with great facilities for all the teenagers.
Highly recommend a trip to Josselin, if you want a meal please
try the Cafe de France. They were very welcoming.
Many thanks, so so peaceful. Chris.
Excellent
facilities, children amused all day. Bikes used.
Boules played (& lost). Ian
Supermarket at
Reguiny open Sunday am, which is very useful. Most
restaurants are shut on a Monday. Boules on Sunday
afternoon in the barn is a must for all adults. Barely
seen the kids all week, they have loved every minute.
Gabbie xx - July/August 2008.

We had such a
lovely holiday, there is such a peaceful feeling about your
place, it was amazing to walk out the door into
such an incredible landscape. I also really enjoyed eating
all your home-grown food, it gave me a sense of connection that
is not common in a holiday home!
My favourite day
trip was walking along the Nantes-Brest canal from Pontivy going
North. It was so shady from the trees, and the canal was
so beautiful, I'll never forget it. The kids had a
fabulous time too, particularly Maisie, who was more active than
we have ever known her to be!!!
Thanks again for
making us so welcome, we really enjoyed your company, and will
return one day!
All the best,
Caroline and Dan, Finn, Tess
& Jane - July 2008.

Have had a great
2 week holiday here with part of our family - 3 generations of
us plus Czechoslovak au pair. Ideal for the little ones -
they loved the pool & the trampoline. The rest of us were
becoming quite proficient at table tennis. Robert &
Veronica have been excellent hosts & think of everything.
The bikes were well used & the 2 year old loved going with her
dad on the 'seat'.
Josselin medieval
day was excellent. The locals were so obviously enjoying
themselves & their costumes were super. Vannes, Lizio &
the war museum at Malestroit are worth a visit. We are all
going to miss the quiet roads & peaceful outdoor dinners.
Andy, Janette, Maisie, -
July 2008.
Lovely 2 weeks.
Thank you very much, even though my phone went in the pool.
Trampoline, swimming pool, table tennis, bikes - what more could
you wish for? The weather has been absolutely beautiful so
we have made the most of it with dinner outside every night!
Seeing as we had 8 of us there was plenty of space and things to
do! Thanks for a wonderful 2 weeks you even got me a week
off school. Maisie xx
****************
Had an excellent
week. Definitely not long enough though! We were so
lucky with the weather. Couldn't fault the facilities nor
Robert and Veronica who were excellent hosts.
The pool at
Reguiny is good for kids. The stones at Carnac are
recommended. Thank you to Robert and Veronica for the
eggs, advice, cucumbers and film - who could ask for anything
more (well maybe a tree house next time!?) Thanks -
Helen, Andy, Jane, Oto, Roony, Ed, Dawn, Mark, Emma and Isobel.

Had a great two
weeks here at Les Blancs.
Many thanks to Robert for his kind help, finding places via
the internet and for the weather forecasts. Couldn't have
asked for better weather!!
Were
disappointed with Pont Scorff Zoo. It is very hilly and at
times difficult to walk around. Food there was very
expensive. Some of the enclosures are small & cramped and
quite smelly. Pontivy market is worth a visit, but look
out for the man with the sausages. You will not get past
without spending 15 euros! Carnac beach is lovely and the
drive to Quiberon is worth doing - ask Robert!
We would recommend Les Blancs
to anyone!, and will. Alan & Ann, Robert & Sarah,
Grace, James, Sarah & John, Lillian & Samuel - June 2008.

We've had a very
relaxing week in Brittany and are sad to be returning to the
hurly burly of life in London! The gite is so peaceful &
v. well equipped. The children loved splashing about in
the warm pool and the trampoline has been a big hit too.
William has particularly enjoyed having so much space to kick a
ball about.
We've had lovely
days out in Josselin (pretty town - we recommend the doll
museum), Vannes (aquarium and butterfly garden worth a visit)
and Carnac (great beaches & good picnic area nr. the standing
stones). We highly recommend a meal at Chez Bido -
delicious food & v. friendly!
Thank you Robert,
for making us feel so welcome & for the loan of the DVD's.
We were sorry to have missed Veronica but hope to meet her on a
future visit! Here's to a busy, successful summer!
Maddy, Gareth, William & Freya - May 2008

What a wonderful
place! Thank you for your hospitality, you've thought of
everything needed. Even though the weather could've been a
bit kinder & our stay longer we've enjoyed every minute.
Having to rush
for the ferry now but will write a larger comment on website
when we get home as we have nothing but praise for Les Blancs!
Thanks again. Amanda & Billy, Carol & Eric - April/May
