Brittany Cottage Les Blancs is a large character holiday home, or gite for families, that combines traditional charm with the conveniences of modern living, and provides all you need for a comfortable, stress free family holiday in the Morbihan region of Southern Brittany, France. This spacious longere or farmhouse holiday cottage has a pleasant mix of comfortable, modern soft furnishings and lovely, traditional Breton style furniture. The Breton buffet in the lounge contains a small library for holiday reading. WIFI internet connection is available at the family holiday cottage. There is also a children's indoor multi games table.
The holiday cottage or gite part of the farmhouse was once a stable with a large hayloft above. During the renovations many of the character features were retained and restored, such as the impressive oak ceiling beams, exposed stone and granite walls, and the massive fireplaces. The holiday home has been furnished with families in mind. |

The ground floor of the holiday cottage accommodation is very spacious, and has ceramic tiles throughout. The large lounge retains its impressive oak beams. The exposed stone wall houses a large Breton fireplace with wood burner. There is a CD, DVD and TV for either French or English reception. A small variety of DVDs for family viewing are available. There is also a small sitting room off the lounge for use as a peaceful retreat, or reading room. It has a sofa bed and can be used as an extra bedroom by special request, see terms & conditions. The spacious family sized kitchen/dining area of the holiday cottage or gite retains the original oak beams. The country pine kitchen is well equipped for a large family, with a five burner range style gas cooker, double bowl sink unit, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge freezer. The typically Breton style dining table can comfortably seat a large family of ten. A high chair is available free of charge. A stone fireplace is built into an alcove where there is extra seating. The ironing board, iron, indoor clothes airer and various cleaning tools are kept in a large cupboard, where you can also hang coats if you wish. Tea towels and hand towels are provided. The downstairs cloakroom of the farmhouse holiday cottage or gite has a toilet, washbasin and washing machine. The first floor accommodation of the holiday home is approached by a substantial oak staircase. A safety stairgate is available if needed. The fully tiled bathroom has a toilet, large washbasin and a bath, an essential if you have young children with you. Four bedrooms in the family holiday accommodation all have fitted wardrobes, mirrored vanity units with washbasins, and enclosed showers. The two double bedrooms have lovely, traditional beds. There is room for a cot in one and a child's folding bed in the other. The two children's rooms both have twin single beds.Duvets, French style square pillows and bedlinen are provided. Extra bedlinen is available by request. Large towels are available for hire, see terms & conditions A travel cot is available free of charge. Please bring your own cot bedding.
